Moe and the Big Exit is the 31st episode in the VeggieTales series and is only available on DVD. Its lesson is on following directions. It is the first VeggieTales episode of 2007.

Written by Mike Nawrocki and directed by Brian K. Roberts, it is based on the Biblical story of Moses from the Book of Exodus. Adapted as a parody of The Lone Ranger, it is also a sequel to The Ballad of Little Joe occurring years after Little Joe's death. This episode marks the second and final time that Bob the Tomato would play the Sheriff. This is the second video where the Silly Song starts after the 30-minute mark of the video.

Plot

On the countertop, Larry and Bob had letters. one of them came from Carlsbad, New Mexico and the other from Brentwood, Tennessee about directions Moe and the Big Exit tells the story of Moses, or Moe for short (played by Larry the Cucumber), a cowboy living a privileged life while his relatives dug the Grand Canyon painted the painted desserts as slaves. Moe stands up to the zucchini foreman for his family, and then fearing for his safety, Moe escapes to the hills and ends up running from a bear he jumps into a well and is pulled out by a Native American named Sally and her buffalo Zippy. when the bear comes back Moe breaks a stick off a stump and scares the bear away by hitting it on the nose(he later named it sliver and took it everywhere he went) . Moe soon meets Sally's parents and he marries her,they raise a family and have a son who is skilled with the yo-yo However, some years later, a "burning tumbleweed" appears before Moe and tells him to return to Dodgeball City and save his people. He showed him a miracle in which his staff turns into a rattlesnake that Zippy is scared of. Moe explains to the weed that he can't speak in public and "imagining them in their underwear never worked". the tumbleweed (God) tells him that he will send someone to speak for him, so Moe sets off for dodge ball city Sally gives him a costume with a mask so the mayor won't recognize him. Moe sets off for dodge ball city with Zippy, he travels around the dessert and finally finds his brother Aaron (Archibald Asparagus) who works as a souvenir salesman in the dessert selling rubber tomahawks and agrees to work with Moe with Moe and tells the zucchini mayor (Mr.Nezzer) to "let my people go." The mayor rejects his demands, and trouble ensues (such as rivers turning into tomato juice, prairie dogs of golf, grasshoppers eating Mayor Nezzer's lunch, cattle falling dead, pink pimples, twisters and the first-born babies being taken by the river). Finally the Mayor lets Moe relatives leave Moe ultimately frees his relatives and they leave the city to find their own place to live when they come to death valley they see Pharoah coming with his carrot army. Moe lifts his stick in the air and yells "Hi - Ho Sliver Away and before them it starts snowing.The mayor tries running after them the snow melts and Mayor and his army are left in the friying sun Sally and her family run to Moe and are reunited again.
